Ericsson homes for sale
In the southeastern section of Minneapolis lies the Ericsson neighborhood, which is part of the greater Nokomis community. The boundaries of the Ericsson neighborhood include East 42nd Street and 43rd Street, Minnehaha Parkway, Cedar Avenue and Hiawatha Avenue. Lake Hiawatha is located in the neighborhood limits of Ericsson, which is one of the most popular lakes in the Minneapolis area. It is part of the Minneapolis park system and was purchased by the city in 1922, when it was just a swamp. But it was transformed within a matter of a few years into the beautiful and picturesque lake that it is today. The Ericsson neighborhood was named after John Ericsson, a popular Swedish engineer who is known for building and designing the USS Monitor during the American Civil War. Most of the homes in the Ericsson neighborhood are single-family homes and the western section of the neighborhood is mostly made up of recreational areas. Lake Hiawatha Golf Course is another feature that draws residents to the neighborhood with its lush rolling greens and surrounding landscaping.
